Call of Duty: Mobile Season 6 Brings Gundam Collaboration to the Game: Prepare for a Mecha-Themed Battle Royale!
Activision has announced a new collaboration with the iconic Gundam series for Season 6 of Call of Duty: Mobile. This exciting addition will bring a range of Gundam-themed content to the game, including operator skins, weapons, and a new event mode.
The new season will introduce the limited-time 4v4 Gundam Team Deathmatch mode, which allows players to deploy with operators themed around various Gundam mecha. Players can choose from operators such as Ethan (Freedom Gundam), Reaper (Sazabi Gundam), Proton (v Gundamo), and Deathscythe Gundam (EW). Each Gundam operator will have their own unique abilities and weapons in this modified Team Deathmatch mode.
The Gundam Team Deathmatch battles take place from a third-person perspective, similar to Bandai Namco's many Gundam titles. The mode is set on an interstellar space station with many points of interest, and players can earn rewards for watching Gundam-inspired operator animations outside of matches.
In addition to the new event mode, players can also earn or purchase Gundam-themed operators, weapons, and other rewards throughout the season. The in-game store will be updated with the Gundam Forever Operator Series Draw and Gundam Universe Weapon Series Draw, allowing players to unlock new operator skins and weapon blueprints.
Completing missions and challenges in the Survival of the Fittest event will reward players with Gundam-themed rewards such as the legendary weapon J358 — Fin Funnel v Gundam, Urban Tracker — Defense Force, Cyro Bomb — Haro (reskin), Emote — Haro Team, new camos, and more. There will also be login events and check-ins that grant free seasonal rewards simply for logging in to Call of Duty: Mobile during Season 6.
Call of Duty: Mobile has become one of Activision's biggest successes, with over 500 million downloads as of May 2021. The game continues to receive support from Activision and the developers at TiMi Studios alongside other popular titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. With the addition of the Gundam collaboration, Season 6 is sure to be a hit with fans of both franchises.
