The Precinct Gets a Solo Mode and Customization Options in Major Content Update
Developer Fallen Tree Games has announced a new major content update for its hit neon-noir police game, The Precinct. The update will add a new solo mode and some fresh customization options for Officer Nick Cordell Jr. and his squad car of choice. Fans of The Precinct will be able to download the update on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC for free later this week.
After launching to mostly positive reviews from players back in May, Fallen Tree Games has been hard at work updating the unique police game with new bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and more. The studio has since released multiple updates for the title, featuring some important fixes, such as one that was causing some players to lose their saves. The most recent patch came earlier this month, with another host of bug fixes that ensured players' gameplay experience remains as smooth as possible.
The new solo mode in The Precinct's update allows players to take on the game's cop adventures on their own, turning off their partner. This will likely make the game more challenging, as players will have to tackle all of the crime on the streets of Averno City without Kelly by their side. It's important to think wisely before heading out alone in this mode.
In addition to the solo mode, the update also brings some brand-new customization options for players to check out. All six squad cars now feature five slick new livery options, while Cordell Jr. also gets a stylish upgrade with a range of customization options. Players can now choose from ten different outfits, eight hats, and four types of glasses to create a look that suits their own policing persona.
The Precinct has already proven to be a big hit with players, and now Fallen Tree Games has given fans even more reason to patrol the streets of Averno City with the game's first major content update. The patch will be available to download later this week on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. For those who might not have picked up The Precinct just yet, but are eager to check out the game's first major content update, now is the perfect time, as Fallen Tree Games has also confirmed that The Precinct will be a part of the Steam Summer Sale starting June 26 and will also be discounted on the PlayStation Store until July 2.
With the new solo mode and customization options, The Precinct is sure to provide even more excitement for fans of the neon-noir police game. Be sure to download the update later this week and start patrolling the streets of Averno City like never before!
