Ciara Announces Delayed Album Release Date and New Merchandise on Instagram
The offseason has been a busy time for New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara. While Wilson is preparing for his first season with the Giants, Ciara is gearing up for the release of her first new full-length album in six years, titled "CiCi." Over the past few weeks, the "1,2 Step" singer has been promoting her new album and has traveled to various events, including the Mighty Hoopla Festival in London, the American Music Awards, and the BET Awards in Los Angeles. She also made a surprise appearance at the New York Liberty game on June 19, sitting courtside at the Barclays Center. While the Wilsons didn't prove to be good luck for New York, as the Mercury defeated the Liberty 89-81, Ciara shared exciting news after the game. Earlier this month, the 39-year-old R&B singer revealed that her long-awaited album "CiCi" would be released on August 22 instead of the previously announced date of July 11. While she didn't give a reason for the delay, Ciara surprised fans with an announcement on Thursday night, revealing new merchandise for her upcoming album is now on sale. In the background of her Instagram Story, she played the remix of the song "Ecstasy," featuring Teyana Taylor and Normani, fiancée of Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf. In addition to a new "CiCi" hoodie, fans can buy a signed vinyl album, t-shirt, and more. In an Instagram post featuring a photo of her daughter rocking some of her new "CiCi" merch, Ciara added, "Thankful for the grind, the opportunity, and all the love. All the good vibes. Happy Juneteenth."
