Australian DJ and producer Ninajirachi has officially announced her debut studio album, titled I Love My Computer, set for release on Friday, August 8th via NLV Records. The label is owned and run by fellow Australian DJ and producer Nina Las Vegas. The album follows last year’s Girl EDM (Disc 1), an expanded edition of her 2022 EP of the same name with previously-unreleased tracks and mixes.

To coincide with the album announcement, Ninajirachi has shared its third single, ‘iPod Touch’, co-written and co-produced by Darcy Baylis. The single comes after the release of ‘All I Am’ in February and ‘Fuck My Computer’ in May. In a press statement, the producer described the song as an ode to “stumbling upon my favourite music online when I was 12 and it cracking my whole world open.”

The producer further elaborated on why she chose the album’s title, which reads with a humorous, memetic tone but with a level of sincerity. “I’ve spent more time with my computer than any one person,” she said. “It helped me discover who I am, and raised me – for better or worse. I may never have discovered electronic music without it, because I’m from a town in regional Australia and it’s not really a place where that exists.”

The album title also reflects the fact that all of Ninajirachi’s music is computer music; it’s her instrument, and she doesn’t know who she would be without it. “It’s a big contrast, actually,” she added. “All of my music is computer music; it’s my instrument.”
