Northeast Palm Beach County park has hiking, equestrian trails plus kayaking and canoeing

Want to see Riverbend Park and the Loxahatchee battlefield? Or maybe you want to just get back to nature. Riverbend Park in Jupiter delivers both and more. The 644-acre park is dominated by pine flatwoods, open meadows, cypress swamps and oak hammocks that are home to hundreds of native species of flora and fauna. The park's website promises visitors they will "see Florida as the first settlers did."
Those first settlers, by the way, had to suffer through that same Florida heat and humidity, so if you're going during summer, come prepared with sunscreen and water, though the park has a fair bit of shade as well.
