Xbox Expands Stream Your Own Game Program with 15 New Titles, Including Borderlands 2 and Nier: Automata

Xbox has continued to expand its "Stream Your Own Game" program, adding 15 new titles to the lineup for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The latest additions include classic favorites like Borderlands 2 and Nier: Automata, as well as the recently released MindsEye. This program, which allows Xbox fans to stream games they own on the go using Xbox's Cloud Gaming tech, is a great option for gamers who haven't yet invested in one of the new handheld devices that can run games natively.

The new additions to the program are a mix of both older and newer titles, with some like The First Descendant and Valheim offering multiplayer options for on-the-go gamers. The First Descendant, in particular, is an excellent choice for the Stream Your Own Game program as it is an ongoing Destiny-like live service game that often requires players to log in and complete daily challenges for rewards.

While most of the games added to the program are well-suited for cloud gaming, some like Back 4 Blood and Just Dance require stronger connections due to their more precise timing requirements. However, for the most part, the program offers a solid option for gamers who want to enjoy their favorite games on the go without having to carry around a heavy console or handheld device.

Xbox's Stream Your Own Game program has been fairly new, having begun earlier this year. June has already seen Xbox add a huge 22-game batch of titles for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream, including Tom Clancy's The Division, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, Just Cause 4, and nearly the entire Life is Strange series. With more titles being added regularly, it's clear that Xbox is committed to making its games accessible to as many gamers as possible.

As Xbox continues to push its "Play Anywhere" initiative and more Xbox games make their way to other platforms and devices like the upcoming ROG Ally, it's never been more clear that there are more ways to play Xbox games than ever before. The Stream Your Own Game program is just one more example of how Xbox is making its games available to gamers in new and innovative ways.
