A mod author named P40L0 has released Ultimate Engine Tweaks, a mod that has claimed the most downloaded spot on the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Nexus Mods page. P40L0 claims the mod will “remove most stuttering, improve performance, reduce input latency, and improve picture clarity.”

The exact magnitude of the improvement appears to vary by hardware. The mod creator warned, however, that even though their mod improves performance, it will not completely fix all stuttering. That said, the overall experience should still be significantly smoother compared to the default settings.
Installing the mod involves downloading the appropriate file from the mod page and dropping it into the directory detailed on the mod’s description page. Users who got Wuchang: Fallen Feathers on Game Pass will have a different folder location than those on Steam, but that’s where the differences end.

That said, P40L0 isn’t likely to remain the only player in this field for long. One reason they were able to publish so soon is that the mod is essentially just a settings instruction file that can work with any Unreal Engine 5 game, not just this one. More targeted mods may have an even bigger impact.
