We Finally Got to See Bill the Fixer in Action on the June 27 Beyond the Gates

Martin couldn’t sit still — he wanted to be in the pay-off of the bigoted busboy he first encountered two years ago. But he already did his job. He arranged for it to go down at Joey’s casino. Then it was Bill’s turn to take over in the Friday, June 27, episode of Beyond the Gates. We got to see The Fixer in action.

Each guy had his part. The way we figure it is that two years ago, Vernon (Clifton Davis) was the assembler of these DMV-style Avengers…they all came together to protect whatever Martin (Brandon Claybon) did on that dark road. Ted (Keith D. Robinson) provided his surgical skills to give the man a new face. Elon (Malachi Malik) and Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) swept the illegal matters under the rug. Joey (Jon Lindstrom) handled the shadier aspects of whatever went down. And Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) was The Fixer…the cleaner upper.

They were brought together to once again take care of Kenneth (Jason Vendryes). He made the problem of antagonizing Martin regularly. He followed him around, and he got a job where he would run into the congressman frequently. Ultimately, he thought he had the power.

But Bill showed him what’s what. His part was giving the man the money he asked for. Mr. Busboy should have asked for a larger lump sum and gotten out of Dodge. Instead, he wanted to slowly drain the well dry with a series of regular payments. But that wouldn’t work for these guys.

Bill handed him the money and appropriately intimidated Kenneth, who was a lot quieter with Bill than he was with Martin. And then, when Bill left, Joey and his people took over. Namely, Randy (Maurice P. Kerry), who took a gun out and pointed it at Kenneth. How far is Joey taking this?

Is Randy forcing Kenneth to leave town at gunpoint? Or did Joey ask him to do something worse and more illegal than anything else they could do?
