Schedule 1 developer TVGS has released another new content update for the smash hit indie title, adding an off-road skateboard to the game alongside a fresh batch of bug fixes and general improvements. The new update was released on the Schedule 1 beta branch yesterday, but can be downloaded right now by all owners on Steam following its full launch on June 26.

It's already been another massive year for indie games, with titles such as R.E.P.O. and Schedule 1 topping the Steam charts and becoming two of the most played games this year. But what makes Schedule 1 stand out from the crowd is that it has been developed by a solo developer known as Tyler. Despite Schedule 1's huge success, peaking at almost 460,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after launch, Tyler has continued to release a steady stream of new content updates for the title. Previous updates have added new properties, items, and local businesses, such as the pawn shop. Now, its latest update has given players something they've been requesting for a long time.

Schedule 1 Faces a Case of Indie Game History Repeating Itself

Schedule 1 is one of 2025's most successful games, but unfortunately, it is suffering from a problem that many other indie titles have faced.

On June 25, TVGS released a new update on the Schedule 1 beta branch. Now, just one day later, the patch has been fully released to all Schedule 1 owners. The patch notes for the update, which can be found further down this article, reveal plenty of new bug fixes and improvements. However, the standout addition for update v0.3.6f6 is the new off-road skateboard. It can be purchased from the Shred Shack at the north of the map for $1,500, the same price as the golden skateboard. However, unlike the golden skateboard, the off-road skateboard allows players to mount pavements and traverse on grass/dirt at higher speeds. One of the biggest complaints players had with the skateboards was that they would come to a dead stop when hitting the side of a curb, but that is now a thing of the past thanks to the off-road skateboard.

Close

While most fans will be excitedly jumping into the latest Schedule 1 update, some are still waiting for the game to be relisted in Australia. Earlier this year, the smash hit indie game was mysteriously removed from Steam in the country. While many believed the title had been banned due to its drug-related themes, Tyler quickly shut down those rumors and revealed that Schedule 1 merely needed to receive an appropriate age rating within Australia. But as the weeks have gone by, players are still waiting for it to reappear. Thankfully, the game's developer recently provided an update on Schedule 1's relisting within Australia, stating that TVGS is "very close" to submitting the application.

Hopefully, the game should be relisted before the next big Schedule 1 update, which is supposedly aiming to launch by the end of July. Fans were recently able to vote between three different options for the game's next update: a Rival Cartel update, a Police Expansion update, or a Shrooms update. With thousands of votes flooding in, the Rival Cartel update won by a landslide and will officially be the next major content update for Schedule 1.
