"Easy mode" not easy enough? Uncharted 4 has you covered.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, coming May 10 for PlayStation 4, is (they say) the final entry in the flagship Sony franchise. Narratively, it certainly closes the book on the adventures of explorer Nathan Drake, he of the perpetual half-tucked, totally-unbuttoned Henley: One last National Treasure-esque conspiracy to unravel, one last legendary treasure haul, one last fabled "lost city." Actually, I didn't play the previous Uncharted games. Sue me. I'm gleaning a lot of that info from the wink-and-nod references sprinkled throughout A Thief's End. I mostly wanted to play it because this entry, as a change-up, was written and directed by the team behind The Last of Us.
The only thing I didn't really like about The Last of Us was its overemphasis on unavoidable firefights. So as I began Uncharted 4, I considered "Light" mode. Then I noticed something even easier than easy: "Explorer" mode, which promised to take me through the story without challenging me in the combat sections. I can't say I picked this immediately, because I understood it meant losing the exhilaration of finally nailing a tough fight. But because I thought it might make for an interesting story and, frankly, because I just wasn't in the mood for gunfights this week, I chose the easiest way. Watch out, villains---Nathan Drake just added "immortality" to his bag of tricks.
