Skanska has signed a contract valued at 214m zlotys ($59.4m) with the Lower Silesian Road and Railway Authority for the construction of a bypass in Wrocław, Poland.

This new infrastructure project aims to enhance the transport system in southern Wrocław.

The new 3.6km provincial road No. 372 will connect the A4 junction in Bielany Wrocławskie with Grota-Roweckiego Street.

The project encompasses the construction of turbine roundabouts, a viaduct, a bridge, two footbridges, a 'semi-tunnel', and full technical infrastructure.

The bypass is designed to accommodate heavy traffic and therefore enhance safety, traffic flow, and reduce noise in the area.

Finishing the Eastern Ring Road will enhance connectivity between districts and suburbs, improve access to the A4 motorway, and decrease local traffic congestion.

Work on the bypass is scheduled to commence this month, with completion expected by the end of 2027.

The contract will be included in the company's order bookings for Europe in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025.

In addition to this bypass project, Skanska announced a $76.59m investment in a new residential project in the Czech Republic.

The construction, part of the D.O.K. Radlice project, valued at Kč 1.0bn, is set for inclusion in the company’s European order intakes for Q2 2025.

Located in Prague’s Radlice district, this residential project will include 177 low-energy apartments across three residential buildings.

Furthermore, Skanska has secured a $250m contract from the Massachusetts Port Authority to develop a new parking garage and make additional improvements at Logan Airport’s Terminal E in Boston, US.

This project is part of Massport’s Terminal E Renovation and Expansion Programme.
