The Everest View Trek was my first real hike in the Himalayas. I had always wanted to see Mount Everest, but I didn’t think I could walk for many days or climb high. Then I found out about this trek. We stayed in tea houses along the way. These are small lodges run by local families. The food was simple but warm. I ate rice, soup, and drank lots of hot tea. At night, it got cold, but the rooms were cozy. I met other travelers at the dining tables, and we shared stories and laughter. Some were solo like me, and some were in groups, but everyone was friendly.
The best part came on the third day. We reached the Everest View Hotel in the morning. I was tired from the walk, but when I looked up, I forgot about my legs. There it was—Mount Everest. It stood tall and proud, with white clouds moving around it. I stared at it for a long time. I took photos, but no camera can match the real thing. That view made all the walking worth it.
Along the way, I also saw Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other high peaks. They looked sharp and clean, shining in the sun. I also walked through forests with rhododendron trees and saw animals like yaks and mountain goats. The trail was never boring. There was always something to see or learn.
One thing I liked most was the people. The guides and porters were full of stories. They laughed often and helped everyone. The local people in the villages were kind too. Even with simple homes and hard lives, they smiled a lot. That made me think about how we live back home. We have more stuff, but maybe less joy.
The trek taught me to slow down. In city life, we run from one thing to the next. But in the mountains, I had time to breathe, look around, and feel calm. I didn’t check my phone much. I didn’t rush. I just walked, rested, and enjoyed each moment.
If you are someone who wants to see Everest but can’t do long or tough hikes, this trek is for you. You don’t need to be super fit. You just need good shoes, warm clothes, and a love for simple things. I’m glad I chose this route. It was short, but it gave me big memories.
Now when I look at my photos or tell friends about the trip, I smile. I still hear the sound of the river, feel the chill in the air, and see the shape of Everest in my mind. The Everest View Trek is not just a hike—it’s a gentle door into the world of the Himalayas. And once you open that door, your heart stays there forever.
