A reliable source has revealed details about the new Genshin Impact game mode, which will allow players to create user-generated content, customize their own character, and engage in public lobbies of up to twenty people. While Genshin Impact has never shied away from adding new activities to the game, the upcoming UCG mode is likely HoYoverse's most ambitious attempt yet. Named Thousand Stars, or Miliastra, it will give players access to powerful creative tools, allowing them to create custom adventures to share with the community.
The scope of the project far eclipses that of earlier game modes, such as Genius Invokation TCG, Serenitea Pot, or the recently added Repertoire of Myriad Melodies. Whereas Genius Invokation TCG in Genshin Impact is integrated into the game itself, Miliastra will be a sandbox launched separately from the game's launcher. Thankfully, since it shares assets with Genshin Impact, it won't require much more storage space than what the base game needs.

Genshin Impact Reveals Estimated Primogem Count for Version 5.8
Genshin Impact players can now see the number of Primogems offered in Version 5.8, allowing them to plan their pulls in time for Nod-Krai.
PostsAccording to Mero, the new game mode will allow players to create their own custom Genshin Impact character, choosing their clothing, skin color, facial details, and more. While current beta testing only allows female characters, the male model is slated to launch with the game mode itself. The Miliastra sandbox will feature a new gacha system, with players wishing for unique cosmetics and outfits instead of characters. It will come with a new Battle Pass, and will emphasize the social aspect of Genshin Impact. Players will be able to create public lobbies of up to twenty participants, or private lobbies of up to twelve participants.
New Genshin Impact Game Mode Will Allow Players to Create Custom Characters and Maps
CloseFootage of the lobby itself points towards the setting being inspired by Simulanka, which is where the Summer Event in Version 4.8 took place. As such, many players believe that Miliastra is tied to Alice in Genshin Impact – at least from a lore standpoint. It's designed to be a hub that connects user-generated adventures, which can be as simple as jumping puzzles and boss arenas or as complex as immersive role-playing experiences.
Player impressions have thus far been positive, but a part of the community is worried that it will be heavily monetized. Rumors point towards Miliastra featuring items that can only be purchased with Primogems from Genshin Impact, separate from its own currency and its own gacha banners. The game mode is also expected to have a stamina system not unlike Resin, albeit with a higher cap than that of the base game. While the release date for Miliastra is currently unknown, the project is nearing the final stages of development, and Genshin Impact players can expect to find out more as beta testing continues.
