Cardi B is back with a new single, "Outside," marking her first solo release since "Enough (Miami)" last year. The Grammy-winning rapper dropped the track on Friday, and teased it on Instagram Wednesday with a photo of a summer block party in New York City, including an overflowing fire hydrant, red Solo cups, dominoes, and blunt wrappers spread across the ground.

In the chorus, Cardi raps, "On the pop out (Side) 'Cause it's hot out / You was playin' games, (Side) Now you on time-out." The first verse sees her spitting, "When I tell you these nas ain't shit, please believe me / They gon' fuck on anything, these nas way too easy / Good for nothing, low-down, dirty dogs, I'm convinced / Next time you see your momma, tell her how she raised a bitch."

While Cardi hasn't released another album since her debut, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018, she has said she's been working on her sophomore studio album but that it's been delayed as she awaits feature verses from other guests. She has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart five times, including with "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)," "I Like It" featuring Bad Bunny & J Balvin, "WAP" featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and "Up."

Prior to the official release of "Outside," Cardi also performed the new song at the Spotify Beach at Cannes Lions in France on Wednesday.
