A new Battlefield 6 leak has shown off extended gameplay from the popular Rush game mode, which seems to be making a return in the upcoming shooter. Rush has been a staple of the Battlefield series over the years, so its return will undoubtedly be welcomed by fans.

Interestingly, Battlefield 6 has still not been officially revealed by EA and Battlefield Studios. However, its existence is no secret, and testing is ongoing in the Battlefield Labs program that allows fans to hop in and try content that will feature in future games. Although players who join agree to non-disclosure agreements, there have still been plenty of Battlefield 6 leaks, giving non-participating fans a better idea of what to expect from the next game in the popular series.

Battlefield 6 Leak Reveals Return of the Rush Game Mode

Close

Rush, known initially as Gold Rush, was first introduced in 2008's Battlefield: Bad Company. In the years since, Rush has appeared in every mainline Battlefield game, establishing itself as a real fan-favorite game mode. The objective is simple: attackers with a limited pool of lives must plant two objectives against the defenders. If the objectives are planted and explode, two more objectives deeper into the map open up, and the attackers' pool of lives is restored. This allows the map to change as the match progresses, offering a high-octane, evolving experience for players. Given its popularity, Rush's return is no massive surprise, although confirmation is still nice to have.

Hopefully, Battlefield fans won't have to wait too much longer for a full reveal. It was recently confirmed that a Battlefield 6 reveal is still planned for summer. The question of a release date is still up in the air, and it remains to be seen whether the game will make it in time for 2025, or if it will just slip into 2026 at this point. Regardless, with a reveal planned and tests ongoing, fans should expect to hear more about Battlefield 6 soon enough.
