The Unexpected Motive Behind Michaels Full Custody Verdict on General Hospital: A Twist in the Tale

In the June 19, 2025 episode of General Hospital, the courtroom drama took an unexpected turn in the custody battle between Michael (Rory Gibson) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). The episode revealed the true motivations behind the unexpected verdict. Michael finally has all of his kids under the same Quartermaine roof, along with several loved ones, including Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Jason (Steve Burton). Although Michael wants his stay at the mansion to be temporary, Jason suggested he move himself and the kids in to be closer to Daisy and Sasha. However, a conversation between Lucas (Van Hansi) and Marco (Adrian Anchondo) sparked some suspicion. When the subject of Michael’s custody came up, the lawyer in Marco noted that it was unusual for a judge not to grant visitation to the mother. This was when the scene switched to Sidwell (Carlo Rota), who was thanking the judge for granting Michael full custody. Sidwell recently formed a connection with Drew (Cameron Mathison), but could that all be an act? Or perhaps, he ensured Michael’s custody in order to get on Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) good side, who is still suspicious of the Port Charles newcomer. Meanwhile, at everyone’s favorite axe throwing spot, Lucas and Marco talked about more than just Michael. As Pride Month continues, the blossoming couple discussed their individual histories coming out and their parents’ acceptance. Lucas revealed that both of his parents, even the mobster, was accepting of him, while Marco noted that his father, Sidwell, has always been accepting, while his mother, Natalia (Eva LaRue), refuses to accept who he is. So why did Sidwell pay the judge to give Michael full custody? Let us know in the comments below. And don’t forget to check out Soap Hub’s podcast for more General Hospital news and updates!
