Wuthering Waves Unveils Phrolova: The 5-Star Rectifier with Havoc Attribute
Wuthering Waves, the popular mobile game developed by Kuro Games, has officially revealed the next highly anticipated character for its Version 2.5 update. Phrolova, a 5-Star Rectifier with a Havoc attribute, has been teased through a series of drip-marketing images on the game's official Twitter account. Phrolova, who has been a fan-favorite character since the game's early days, is introduced as an Overseer of the Fractsidus, an organization that aims to provoke the next Lament. Players first encountered her in Huanglong, where she caused a Tacet Discord outbreak on her own. She later reappeared in Rinascita and conspired with Cristoforo, but Rover managed to defeat her summon, Hecate. Despite her role as a main antagonist, Phrolova's troubled past and her music that "bridges the gap between life and death" have made her a fan-favorite character. Phrolova's illustration shows her without her eye bandages for the first time, revealing her heterochromia and blood tears. She is also seen holding her iconic Lycoris, which she uses to summon and control Tacet Discords. Her description states that her music has the power to bring about change and transformation. Phrolova is the first of six upcoming Wuthering Waves characters planned for Version 2.5 and onward. While many fans reacted positively to the drip marketing, some pointed out that no other new unit was unveiled for Version 2.5, suggesting that Phrolova will be the only new 5-Star or 4-Star character debuting in this update. Despite this, fans can still pull for Cartethyia on Wuthering Waves' current banners before she leaves on July 3. Cartethyia has quickly become one of the top-tier units in the game, and her Build Guide has been widely shared among players looking to optimize their builds. Kuro Games has confirmed that more details about Phrolova's kit will be shared in the coming weeks. Whether she can become one of the strongest characters in Wuthering Waves remains to be seen, but fans are eagerly awaiting her debut in Version 2.5.
