Undisputed Gets Free Content Update with Three New Fighters and Gameplay Improvements
Steel City Interactive has officially unveiled a free content update for Undisputed, and it's coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam later this week. The latest Undisputed update, which will bring the game to version 1.4, will not only include a host of gameplay adjustments, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements but will also see three new fighters added to the game along with some other new features for players to check out.
After releasing four new patches in five weeks, Steel City Interactive went silent while it developed the upcoming new content update. After leaving fans in the dark for almost two months, the studio began unveiling some new details on what to expect from update 1.4 earlier this month. According to some early patch notes that were released by the game's community manager, the next Undisputed update will add a highly requested multi-queue feature that should make online matchmaking much quicker. The new feature will allow players to select fighters from multiple weight divisions when searching for an online match, thus reducing the time it takes to get into the ring.
The first addition in the update will be robes for marquee fighters, such as Terence Crawford, Amir Khan, and more. There will also be some big improvements to the game's lighting and visuals on Xbox Series X and PC (specifically on Ultra settings). But undoubtedly the biggest piece of content in the update is the debut of three new fighters: Damian Chambers, Jack Dempsey, and Jack Johnson.
Fans can also expect a fresh batch of gameplay improvements and bug fixes in the next Undisputed update. Steel City says it has also capped the get-up mini-game success rate for AI, meaning players should find it much easier to keep their opponent down when playing offline modes. There are also some fighter improvements too, as the studio has updated the animations for Vasyl Lomachenko in order to make his character model more lifelike. Details on all of the bug fixes included in update 1.4 will be revealed with the patch notes tomorrow.
Steel City will also be releasing another Undisputed DLC fighter pack alongside tomorrow's update, but which fighters will be included in the DLC are currently unknown. In the past, Steel City has added some of the sports' most iconic boxers via new DLC packs, including Shannon Briggs, the Klitschko brothers, Dmitry Bivol, Julio Cesar Chavez, and many more.
The upcoming update for Undisputed is sure to bring a fresh batch of content and improvements for players to enjoy. With three new fighters and a host of gameplay adjustments and bug fixes, it's clear that Steel City Interactive is committed to providing a great experience for its community of boxing fans. Be sure to check out the update when it arrives later this week!
