The top two free attractions in the country are located in Florida and are ideal for those interested in the state's native wildlife. Here's where they are:

Loggerhead Marinelife Center - Juno Beach, Florida

Experience an Early Access or Public Guided Tour of Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach and save on admission during MOSAIC.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center inJuno Beach was crowned the best free attraction in the country. It is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to sea turtle research, rehabilitation, education, and conservation.

"The number of resident sea turtles varies, since the center's goal is to rescue and return wildlife to their natural habitats," 10Best writes. "There are plenty of other sea creatures to observe as well, and helpful volunteers are on hand to answer questions and provide information."

As of June 2025, its website states it has six turtles at its facility and is tracking seven.

It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 14200 U.S. Highway 1 in Juno Beach.

TECO Manatee Viewing Center - Apollo Beach, Florida

TECO Manatee Viewing Center

Situated in second place, the TECO Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach is a protected marine sanctuary that offers visitors the opportunity to see manatees up close.

The park is open seasonally from November to April. 10Best notes that guests can also enjoy beautiful butterfly gardens, an impressive observation tower, a boardwalk, and walking trails.

It is located at 6990 Dickman Road in Apollo Beach.
