TikTok has announced a new partnership with electronic music festival Tomorrowland, which will see the app host a range of exclusive content throughout the event.
Tomorrowland hosts a range of music festivals throughout Europe, with its headline event for 2025 being held in Belgium next month.
And during the festival, TikTok will host live streams of performances, provide behind-the-scenes access, showcase artist and creator collaborations, and more.
As per TikTok:
“Tomorrowland 2025 will feature a curated lineup of world-renowned DJs, visionary stage designs, and immersive storytelling. Through TikTok, users worldwide will be able to explore the magic of the festival with LIVE streams of headline acts, creator-led content, and a dedicated #Tomorrowland in-app hub which will act as a one-stop experience for fans all over the world to experience the festival for themselves. Additionally, CapCut and Tomorrowland will launch an official template for all users to spread the magic even further online.”
In addition to this, TikTok’s also hosting a songwriting competition for aspiring electronic artists in line with the event via its SoundOn music support initiative:
“Artists from SoundOn and Tomorrowland Music will collaborate, write and release original music to soundtrack the activities happening on and off the TikTok platform during both weekends. The songs will be performed live onstage at Tomorrowland, and released and distributed by SoundOn.”
Like all music, electronic artists have gained significant traction on TikTok, with the platform becoming a key distribution and awareness channel for their latest releases.
Indeed, many record labels now view the app as a critical promotions and connection tool, while research published by TikTok earlier this year suggests that around 84% of songs that entered the Billboard Global 200 in 2024 went viral on TikTok first.
And Tomorrowland, in particular, is popular in the app. Posts using the #Tomorrowland hashtag have been viewed over 10 billion times, while TikTok's Tomorrowland 2023 festival livestream was viewed by over 16 million users.
As such, this could be a valuable and engaging partnership, that will help to promote both Tomorrowland and TikTok to music fans.
