The Bigger Picture: Celebrating Size-Inclusive Menswear with NFL Players and Models
In recent years, the fashion industry has made significant strides towards inclusivity, particularly in women's wear. However, men's fashion has lagged behind, with many men of larger sizes still feeling overlooked and underrepresented. This was the impetus behind the second annual Man of the Moment fashion show, held in Dallas earlier this month. The event, which featured a roster of "big and tall" men, including current and veteran NFL players, aimed to celebrate high style and size-inclusive menswear. Cameron Boyland, a model and entrepreneur from Little Rock, Arkansas, was inspired to create The Bigger Picture after realizing the lack of representation for larger men in the fashion industry. "My work began with frustration," he tells Vogue. "Walking into stores and flipping through magazines without seeing anyone who looked like me; bigger men have been boxed out of fashion, especially when it comes to luxury and designer spaces." Boyland's frustration led him to launch The Bigger Picture, a size-inclusive agency and platform that is creating its own campaigns, events, and platforms to highlight the beauty and diversity of larger men in fashion. "We aren't waiting for permission—we're creating our own campaigns," he says. While growing his business, Boyland has built an impressive modeling resume of his own, working with brands like Savage x Fenty, Nike, and Skims. The idea to launch the Man of the Moment show struck after reading the size-inclusivity reports released after each fashion month. "While there's been a growing conversation around size inclusion, many men still feel overlooked, underrepresented, and disconnected from the fashion world," he says. The Man of the Moment show was a celebration of style and inclusivity that featured models of all shapes and sizes on the runway. The event was a testament to the fact that fashion can be for everyone, regardless of size. The images from the show showcase the diversity of models, with men of different ethnicities, ages, and body types all looking confident and stylish on the runway. The Bigger Picture is just one of many initiatives that are working to change the face of men's fashion and create a more inclusive industry. As more brands and designers embrace size inclusivity, it is clear that the future of men's fashion is brighter and more diverse than ever before. With initiatives like The Bigger Picture and events like the Man of the Moment show, it is evident that the fashion industry is moving towards a more inclusive future where everyone can feel represented and celebrated in their unique beauty.
