Funnyman Mario Cantone is best known for his iconic portrayal of Charlotte’s best friend Anthony on Sex and the City and And Just Like That. Garson was 57 years old when he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021. In a conversation with Melissa Rivers for her podcast Group Text, Cantone got candid about filming And Just Like That while Garson was sick.

And I was, you know, the court jester that day because I was trying to keep it as light as possible, because it was a heavy aspect. It was really... and then he never came back, and he passed away. And it was—it was awful. Yeah, I remember walking into work the day after he passed and I just broke. And Sarah grabbed me and took me off set. And he was so funny and brilliant. And it was just a great match. And I miss him a lot.”
