Scarlett Johanssons Thoughts on Her Daughter Watching Jurassic World: Rebirth and the Importance of Family in the Film Industry
Scarlett Johansson, the actress known for her roles in films like "Lost in Translation" and "Marriage Story," is not only a fan of the "Jurassic Park" franchise but also a family-friendly one. She is not hesitant to let her 10-year-old daughter Rose watch her new movie "Jurassic World Rebirth," even though other Jurassic fans have described it as the scariest one in the franchise.
One of the reasons Scarlett jumped on board the dinosaur movie was to create a memorable moviegoing experience for her children, Rose and 3-year-old brother Cosmo. She recalls the jump scares and terrors from the first "Jurassic Park" movie that left an impression on her when she was 10 years old.
While shooting the film, Scarlett found a new family in her costars Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, and Rupert Friend. She says one of the best parts of making a movie is the family that you develop while shooting. Despite having limited rehearsal time on the film, they still managed to spend as much enjoyable time as possible.
The cast experienced challenging circumstances on location in Malta, such as running around in 103°F heat and 90% humidity. However, they found ways to unwind during cast dinners and daydream about their experiences while shooting.
