Game Rant can reveal an exclusive excerpt from Persona: The Official Cookbook. This early look at the upcoming collector's item includes recipes inspired by Persona 3, 4, and 5.
While not always a central focus, cooking is a recurring element in modern Persona games. Looking to lean into this trend, Atlus unveiled the series' official cookbook back in early March 2025. The recipe collection is currently targeting an October release.

Sega Report Reveals Release Windows for Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven
A new report from Sega reveals release windows for the eagerly awaited games Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven.
PostsIn the run-up to this launch, publisher Insight Editions shared four sample pages from Persona: The Official Cookbook, which Game Rant can exclusively reveal. The excerpt spans three recipes based on the mainline Persona games, including a hearty Super-Athlete Meal inspired by Akihiko's diet in Persona 3. Despite an estimated cook time of 40 minutes, the recipe is classified as "Easy," and is actually the only one from the newly shared batch with that rating. The dish is a variation on the classic hot pot, built around a dashi base and a medley of vegetables.

The newly revealed sample pages also include Mystery Food X, a gag dish that appears throughout Persona 4. While it's presented as comically inedible in the game, this real-life version is said to be anything but, promising a distinctive take on a beet curry for only the most refined palates. It is classified as an "Intermediate" recipe that takes approximately one hour to prepare.

The final recipe in the excerpt draws inspiration from Ann’s well-known love of cakes in Persona 5. Simply titled Ann's Strawberry Cake, it’s exactly what the name suggests: a sweet, tender dessert that's easy on the eyes and palates alike. While baking the cake base is relatively straightforward, assembling the dish is more time-consuming, with total preparation estimated at over two hours. The official Amazon listing for Persona: The Official Cookbook previously revealed full or partial previews of eight more recipes, such as the Exquisite Katsudon, Shoyu Pork Ramen, and Leblanc Coffee.
The Persona-inspired recipe collection is scheduled for release on October 7, 2025. Apart from a hardcover variant, Insight Editions will also be selling a Kindle version. The book itself is authored by Jarrett Melendez, a long-time comics and food writer who also penned the official Borderlands cookbook, which is set to hit the store shelves on July 29.
