Overwatch 2 has officially revealed the five skins coming in the G.I. Joe collaboration: Snake Eyes Genji, Scarlett Freja, Destro Doomfist, Baroness Widowmaker, and Cobra Commander Reaper. These cosmetics, along with their associated in-game event, are coming to Overwatch 2 starting July 1.
The reveal of this collaboration was a bit quieter than usual, but Overwatch 2 recently confirmed that a G.I. Joe crossover is coming in Season 17. This major update went live on June 24, meaning information about this collaboration was set to arrive soon.
The new skins are a part of the "Powered Up" content update for Season 17, which adds new maps, features, and balance adjustments to Blizzard's free-to-play hero shooter. The skins are priced at 2500 Overwatch Coins each, while the crossover Mega Bundle will run for 5900 Overwatch Coins or $59. Each bundle includes the character's matching player icons, name cards, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, voice lines, and sprays.
In addition to the new skins, players can participate in an in-game event during the collaboration. By completing in-game challenges in Quick Play, Competitive, or Stadium, players can earn signature voice lines, sprays, and a weapon charm inspired by G.I. Joe, along with 25,000 Battle Pass XP to progress through the Season 17 track.
For those looking for even more loot, Overwatch 2 is also offering free Loot Boxes to celebrate Season 17. From now through July 7, players can earn a normal and Epic Loot Box as an Overwatch 2 Twitch Drop. Until July 1, they can earn four more Epic Loot Boxes by completing in-game challenges for the Powered Up event. While external IP collab cosmetics cannot be obtained from these Loot Boxes, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo crossover skins all have a chance to drop from them.
