Netflix Documentary Promises To Reveal The Unseen Side Of Late WWE Legend Hulk Hogan

Producers for Netflix were in the midst of filming a documentary that promised to reveal the unseen side of Hulk Hogan when he suddenly passed away in Florida in July 2025.
According to a source, Hulk Hogan, then 71, expressed his full support for the documentary and had been involved in the project's behind-the-scenes process since 2024.

A report from CNN says that WWE, which entered a lucrative streaming deal with Netflix last year, has been working on a documentary that is "intended to chronicle the wrestling legend's storied life and career, on and off screen" since 2024.

A source told CNN that Netflix and WWE had been producing the documentary with the wrestling champion's full support, and that "people will see a side of him they haven't seen before."
CNN revealed that the untitled project does not yet have a release date. Additionally, Hogan's unexpected death will force the documentary's production company to reframe parts of the story.
Hulk Hogan Died From Cardiac Arrest

Hogan died on July 24, 2025, from cardiac arrest, according to a previous report from The Blast.

The caption to her photo of the two of them kissing also mentioned how she wasn't "ready" for Hogan's "sudden" passing.
She added, "My heart is in pieces."
Daily also addressed Hogan's fans, who, since the news of his death became public, have expressed their sadness all across social media.
"You meant everything to him," she said.

Before Hogan's death, rumors had suggested that the WWE star's health was on the decline.

Now, he's calling out Hogan's family, specifically his wife, Daily, for "lying" about his well-being.
"I can't take away from what I've already said, and what I've already correctly predicted," Bubba said. "But I am officially the guy that was the only one telling the truth about Hogan's physical condition."
Hogan Has Had His Share Of Injuries And Surgeries

Hogan was also quite open about his long list of health problems during previous interviews. In one specific interview with TMZ, the father of two opened up about having fake knees and hips and how his back was "full of metal."

He continued, “Back in the ‘70s, when I started, I’ve still got teeth marks on my finger [from being bitten by another wrestler]."
And the crazy stories don't stop there.
He also shared, "I had my eye reconstructed a few times … from getting hit in the face, nose broken 13 times, all these fake teeth have been knocked out six times. It’s been a wild ride.”
Other Wrestling Legends Pay Their Respect To Hogan And His Legacy

Following his death, several of the sport's biggest names, such as Rick and Charlotte Flair, have paid their respects to Hogan and his family.

Johnson also praised him as one of the greatest athletes in WWE's history.
"... you 'drew the house' meaning you sold out every arena and stadium across the country in your prime as Hulk Hogan, on your way of becoming the greatest of all time," he wrote.
"From deep in my bones, and on behalf of this wild and crazy world of professional wrestling that we love, I say to you now, and forever," he continued, "Thank you for the house, brother... Thank you for the house."
The WWE itself also released a statement, recognizing Hogan as a pop culture icon and thanking him for helping its company "achieve global recognition."
