Lorde has shared another new song, "Hammer," from her highly anticipated new album, Virgin, which is set to be released on June 27th. The opening track is described by Lorde as an "ode to city life and horniness." The music video for the song, directed by Renell Medrano, is set to be released soon.

Virgin was co-produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack, and features contributions from Daniel Nigro, Fabiana Palladino, Inc. No World's Andrew Aged, Buddy Ross, and Blood Orange's Devonté Hynes. The album's first two singles, "What Was That" and "Man of the Year," also received their own music videos.

In addition to the new single and album, Lorde will embark on an international tour in September to support Virgin. Opening select concerts on the run will be Blood Orange, the Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou.

After releasing her third studio album, Solar Power in 2021, Lorde continued to roll out visuals for select cuts from the LP over the following years, including videos for "Oceanic Feeling" and "The Path." She also re-recorded certain Solar Power songs for an EP sung in Māori.
