Kelly Clarkson postpones opening of Las Vegas residency at Caesars Colosseum
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — An hour and a half before opening her residency at Caesars Colosseum, Kelly Clarkson announced on social media that the Friday and Saturday shows have been postponed.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” Clarkson wrote. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.
She said the move was necessary to rest her voice after rehearsals took their toll.

I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve,” according to a post on the X social platform.
“The show is truly incredible,” she wrote.“The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”
Tickets to Clarkson’s Friday opening were listed online from a standard $133 all the way up to resales going for $1,200.
Caesars Palace posted a statement just before 8 p.m. advising ticketholders on what would happen next. “Ticketholders will receive information from Ticketmaster and can either request a refund or keep their tickets as we reschedule this weekend’s performances.”

The “Studio Sessions” residency is scheduled for dates from July 4 to Aug. 16, with more shows Nov. 7-15.
