Kelly Clarkson Debuts Surprising New Look As She Announces Return to 'The Voice'
Kelly Clarkson is back to turning chairs AND heads.
The powerhouse singer and fan-favorite coach on The Voice shocked viewers this week when she appeared in a brand-new promo for the show's upcoming 29th season. Not only are viewers excited to see her return to the judge's chair of the competition show, but it was her fabulous new look that really got people talking. Kelly traded in her signature long, flowing blonde locks for a short bob that gave off major boss energy.
In the video clip posted on social media, the American Idol champ spins around in her iconic red chair wearing a black and white menswear-inspired outfit, complete with a bold red lip. "This time, we've got some tricks up our sleeve. Y'all get ready," she teased in the singing show's promo video and let's just say fans are ready.

We couldn't think of a better way to make her return to the show as a coach for the first time since season 23. This upcoming season, titled The Voice: Battle of Champions, is quickly shaping up to be her boldest return yet.
She'll be joining fellow returning coaches Adam Levine and John Legend, but for the first time in show history, the panel will consist of only three coaches. Add in a brand-new competition format, a few spicy twists, and the return of original coach CeeLo Green for a special showdown episode, and you've got a supercharged season unlike any others.
Kelly, who already has four Voice wins under her belt, clearly means business with her boss-like outfit and sophisticated bob. If her new haircut is any sign of what's to come, we'd say her competitors better watch out.
