Diablo 4 has shared an infographic of the features that will be added in Season 9, which kicks off on July 1. This is the third part of the 2025 roadmap that Diablo 4 revealed in early April, giving players a preview of what to expect from the game in its second year.

Season 8 of Diablo 4 started on April 29 and introduced several features, such as the collaboration with Berserk that added content based on Kentaro Miura's iconic manga. Another addition that got players talking was the return of Belial as one of the new bosses available in Diablo 4, which is why the season was named after the Lord of Lies. To make builds even more powerful, boss powers were added for players to equip.

The new questline in Season 9, Sins of the Horadrim, will have players discovering and purging relics influenced by Astaroth's blood. The seasonal mechanic will be Horadric Spellcraft, a system that will add a variety of spells such as Corrosive Vapor, Glacial Nimbus, Smoldering Ember, and Thunderous Particle. Horadric Jewels will be the new socketables, allowing players to obtain new bonuses. Confirming a previous Diablo 4 leak, the hellhound Dante will be the seasonal pet, and the hellish goat will be one of the upcoming Reliquary rewards.

The Nightmare Dungeon experience will see changes with the additions of Nightmare Dungeon Affixes, Horadric Strongrooms, and Escalating Nightmares, a new Diablo 4 endgame activity that will connect three Nightmare Dungeons. While Astaroth will be the challenge of the seasonal questline, Exalted Astaroth will be waiting for players in Escalating Nightmares. The fight against Exalted Astaroth can potentially be modified with certain affixes, making his attacks even more powerful. Diablo 4 will also add six new Uniques to keep the community engaged in the search for the best build, as well as keyboard and mouse support for console players.

While Season 9 does not have a set end date, Diablo 4's 2025 roadmap notes that it will run from July to September. After that will come Season 10, Infernal Chaos, scheduled to run from September to December. Although the full content is not known, the roadmap promises the addition of the seasonal mechanic Chaos Powers, an update to the Infernal Hordes mode, and a new crossover.

Diablo 4 fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months as Blizzard continues to add new content and features to keep the game fresh and exciting for players. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements from Diablo 4!
