There’s no denying that Debbie Harry has seen some things in her lifetime, but in a recent interview, the Blondie frontwoman revealed that legendary rocker David Bowie once “exposed himself” to her.
“It was very nice,” Harry said with a laugh during her talk with Vanity Fair published on June 30.
The interviewer then asked the “One Way or Another” singer if it was true that Bowie asked if he could “f--k her” and if Harry actually replied, “I don’t know, can you?”

I regretted saying that, because he was such a wonderful artist and a wonderful person,” Harry explained. “I was just being punk; I worked very hard at being punk.”
She joked that because Bowie didn’t use proper grammar, she “answered correctly.”
“He’s British and [I thought] British people have more control and knowledge of proper English,” the “Call Me” artist added.
Harry also opened up about her drug use during the band’s heyday and how during a previous interview with the same reporter, she was high, even though the reporter didn’t realize it at the time.
“Well we were struggling with a lot of stuff. Chris [Stein] was overcoming something and we didn’t know what it was [the rare autoimmune illness pemphigus],” Harry admitted. “We needed to do some drugs to stabilize ourselves from some kind of emotional roller coaster. Had we gone to a shrink, we probably would have been severely medicated. But that also was a sign of the times, because drugs were everywhere. In my social circle, people would come over and just do drugs together.”

“It was a different atmosphere. I can’t go around regretting everything in my life; that would be such a waste.”
