Crazy Fiat Panda Is The Width Of One Headlight

This super skinny Fiat Panda build is only about as wide as one of the front headlight assemblies, so it turns a lot of heads. After all, when have you ever seen such a narrow car in your life? The builder used some rather creative yet simple designs to pull this build off, including making it drivable.

Check out this Nigerian-built sportscar.

We don’t think you’d want to take this car into traffic since that would be tempting fate in serious ways. But the guy did find a way to power the Fiat even though the original engine obviously can’t fit under what’s left of the hood.

Powering one of the rear wheels is a 24v electric motor. Since its packaging is small, it can fit in the skinny place without problem. However, the battery supplying energy isn’t all that big, either, so this thing has a short driving range.

The other rear wheel is used as a brake only. This kind of odd one-wheel-drive design has been used in ultra budget-friendly cars in the past.

To make the odd build, the guy made good use of his Sawzall, cutting both sides free of the frame, then ditching the chassis before joining the sides along with a single headlight assembly, a sliver of the hood, and a few other things into a strange creation.

There are other technical aspects to this odd Panda, like shortening the axles and relocating the brake system components, as well as cutting the steering rack down to size. It’s an impressive thing to see pulled off, even if this thing is completely impractical.
