Chicago Fire star Jake Lockett and his now-wife, actress Dominique Domingo, got eloped in Hawaii on June 18.
While speaking to People magazine, the couple explained their decision to have an intimate, nature-focused ceremony near a waterfall in Kauai.
"The theme was about letting nature take the lead. There was no need for added décor because Mother Nature handled it all. We wanted the vibe to be serene, intimate and peaceful and that’s exactly what it was," said Domingo to the publication.

According to Lockett, he once wrote a love song after hiking to a waterfall just months prior to meeting Domingo.
"I hiked a mountain to the base of the waterfall and while listening to music, ended up writing a song about the woman I’d someday meet. The one I’d fall in love with. The song was asking her to stay true and be patient for me. So, being able to get married by a waterfall was full circle for me," said the actor, who began playing firefighter Sam Carver during the 11th season of Chicago Fire, which premiered in 2022.
The publication reported that the couple's wedding guests were their parents, a videographer named Zac Ramos, and a photographer named Ashley Uptain. Lockett explained he and his wife wanted a very small wedding because they "both felt like anything bigger than [their] immediate family wouldn’t allow [them] to focus on each other as much on [their] day."
"So, keeping it small and simple was imperative," continued the actor.

Lockett revealed that he was leaving Chicago Fire after its 13th season. Deadline reported that Lockett took to his Instagram account in April 2025 to share that he was "going to miss the hell out of" starring in the series. In addition, he expressed gratitude for the show's fans.
“It’s been an honor bringing Sam to life and to every one of you, thank you for the love and support over the past three years,” wrote Lockett.
