The closing celebration of the wedding is now set to take place on an old shipyard site in the Arsenale district, which can be better monitored. Bezos has been advised to refrain from coming with his superyacht, which is now expected to remain off the Croatian coast in the Mediterranean. Prominent guests including Oprah Winfrey, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ivanka Trump are expected to arrive in their own private jets at Venice airport. The wedding is likely to take place on Friday, but there are no further details from Bezos or Sánchez about the schedule of the celebrations. However, activists have protested against the billionaire's wedding and several groups have announced their intention to disrupt the celebrations. The environmental organization Greenpeace unfurled a large banner in St Mark's Square featuring Bezos' laughing face and the inscription "If you can rent Venice for your wedding you can pay more tax." Despite the changes in plans, the celebrations are still expected to last throughout the week and will be attended by around 200 guests from the worlds of entertainment and business.
