"Happy birthday to my darling, Malia! You’ve grown into such a smart, strong, and beautiful young woman, and I’m so proud of the way you show up in the world. Keep shining bright, my love. 🌟🥳🎉," read Michelle's caption.

"Happy birthday, Malia! Thanks for always lighting up our world. So proud of you," Barack wrote.

Taken in 2014, the photo depicts Barack, Michelle, and Malia watching a fireworks show from the roof of the White House.

The couple's youngest daughter, Sasha, turned 24 last month.

"Happy birthday to my sweet girl, Sasha," Michelle wrote on Instagram back in June. "Can’t believe how quickly time has flown. I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Love you always! 💕🥳🎉."

In the new snap, both Obama daughters proved they're just as stylish as their mother: Malia sported abutter yellowdress, while her younger sister pairedmetallic ballet flatswith a very island girl ensemble, including a nude tube top, flowy maxiskirt, and a large pendant necklace.

Earlier this year, Michelle spoke about her biggest fears before herhusband Barack Obamatook office in 2009. In an episode of herpodcast "IMO,"which she cohosts with her brother Craig Robinson, Michelle revealed that she was most concerned about her daughtersMalia and Sasha.

"The biggest worry that I had when Barack was elected, it wasn't the difficulty of the job. It wasn't the strain or the hardship or the threats or all the things you might imagine," Michelle said.
