There are off-roaders, and then there are off-roaders. This 2024 Ford F-250 Shelby Super Baja, listed for sale in California with just 3,743 miles on the clock, is the latter. Just 250 of these bonkers brutes were made, each with a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 that feeds the four-wheel drive system through a 10-speed TorquShift automatic transmission. Ford already gives this Super Duty powertrain 500 horsepower and a scarcely believable 1,200 lb-ft of torque as standard, and Shelby deems those figures sufficient. For the Super Baja, most of Shelby's attention is focused on the suspension and body, though there are some changes inside, too.

Tall Enough For The Trails

Shelby partnered with the specialists at FOX Performance to give this pickup its tall stance, combining a custom BDS lift system and custom front radius arms with a FOX 2.0 dual steering stabilizer, FOX 2.5 front coilovers with adjustable reservoirs and backup adjustable reservoir shocks, and rear 2.5 FOX Factory Race adjustable shocks with piggyback reservoirs. Towering above pedestrians is a functional vented hood above a redesigned front grille with LED markers and a black powder-coated steel front bumper. Additional lighting is a big theme of the build, with a 40-inch curved light bar joined by two sets of 10-inch LED bars, a set of 10-inch backup lights in a matching steel rear bumper, and finally, a monstrous 50-inch power-actuated LED light bar. In the bed, Shelby mounts a pair of spare wheels and tires.

Other Shelby touches include black fender flares and vents, XL power steps with rock sliders and more of their own (amber) lights, a smattering of decals and badges, and powder-coated exhaust tips. Finally, the wheels are 20-inch alloys wrapped in BFGoodrich KM3 37-inch tires. The only subtle element of the package is the clean Glacier Gray paint, one of Ford's standard Super Duty colors (also available on the Expedition and Mustang Mach-E).

Shelby has fitted embroidered floor mats and imitation (hydrodipped) carbon fiber-look accents on the steering wheel and dash, along with billet racing pedals. You also get a serial-numbered CSM (Carroll Shelby Mustang) plaque in the cabin and another smattering of badges, though most will only be able to see these elements if the tinted windows are rolled down. The biggest change is that the interior has been completely reupholstered in black, grey, and red leather, but this Lariat-based example has also been equipped with a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a head-up display, and a surround-view camera.

If all that sounds like your jam, this particular Super Baja is selling for $129,999. That's no small sum, but in all fairness, this one has hardly been used - even the tires look as good as new.
